  Discover Taiwan

Taiwan is a land where bustling modern cities are always congested with people and automobiles. The 36,000 square kilometer wide island constitutes a Mass Rapid Transit or “MRT” system, highways and freeways, two international airports with over fifty airlines, fifteen domestic airports with five domestic airlines, six international harbors, and a modern railway system, providing frequent and convenient passenger service to over 20 million Taiwanese.

At the heart of the island in the northern part of Taiwan lies the city of Taipei – the country's center for trade and development. Due south of Tainan city in southern Taiwan is the city of Kaohsiung, the island's second largest city and largest international port, which is considered the gateway for international ports. The country's global economic activity especially towards the Asia Pacific market has promoted her as the ideal location for multinational enterprises to set up their headquarters from which to manage their operations in the Asia Pacific region
